I’ve really been enjoying the art of hand embroidery. To date I’ve only completed three projects: the first being the mushroom fabric that I embroidered with Emma’s name, the second a Christmas gift for a special someone, and the third a fun gnome and mushroom pattern!

This latest project was so much fun! I tinted the illustration with crayons using this tutorial from Aimee Ray of little dear tracks. The pattern was 100% freeĀ and can be found on her flickr pageĀ here.

I just love the way it turned out! And I enjoyed every bit of making it. I have a few more patterns, some purchased, some not, that I cannot wait to stitch up! I just need to figure out what to do with all of these pieces. Might I see some quilting in my future? If only I wasn’t so intimidated by it!
